The People Concern

Provides compassionate care to homeless individuals, survivors of domestic abuse, challenged youth, and others in need. Services include outreach, housing options, mental and medical care, substance abuse services, abuse counseling, pet care supports and more.

Westside Food Bank

The mission of the SWFB is to end hunger by providing access to free nutritious food throughout the west LA area, by distributing 5 million pounds of food annually to food pantries, local schools, veteran agencies, mobile pantries, and other food distribution centers.

Camp Stevens

For more than 70 years, Camp Stevens has not only been a site for retreats, summer camps, and outdoor education amid the mountains of Julian, California, but also a place that strives to cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community. The Thrift Shop supports their Equity Grant Program, that employs a diverse group of summer staff counselors.

A Sense of Home

A Sense of Home strives to prevent homelessness by creating first-ever homes and a community of support for youth aging out of foster care. 50 percent of those struggling with homelessness are former foster youth, and A Sense of Home is dedicated to providing fully equipped, secure homes for youth who a facing a time of crisis.

SPY: Safe Place for Youth

SPY’s mission is to prevent and end youth homelessness through supportive services, sustainable housing opportunities, community collaboration and advocacy. Their care includes street outreach, access center services, case management, health and wellness, and education and employment programs.

St. Joseph’s Center

Serves over 12,000 low-income families and homeless persons in West LA with a coordinated web of services including housing services, outreach, mental health services, and education and vocational training. Staff and volunteers make every effort to provide a welcoming, safe place where all people are treated with compassion and respect.

Prism

Prism is engaged in spiritual care and companionship with the incarcerated community in the L.A. County jails. Prism advocates for criminal justice reform and the dismantling of systems of mass incarceration. We are committed to bringing a voice to the struggle of the most marginalized in our society. Guided by our Episcopal baptismal covenant to seek and serve Christ in all persons, strive for justice and peace among all people and promote the respect and dignity of every human being.

Venice Family Clinic

The VFC provides comprehensive, accessible, and quality health care annually to over 40,000 people in need by operating a large network of clinics and mobile vans. The St. Matthew’s grant helps support their domestic violence prevention and intervention services.

St. Margaret’s Center

Serves 10,000 low-income persons in crisis each year. The center provides advocacy, counseling services, a food pantry, homeless services, ESL classes, immigration services, medical care, and utility bill assistance to individuals in the South Bay.

Las Familias del Pueblo

Las Familias del Pueblo is a kindergarten and first grade charter school that provides educational opportunities to the children of garment workers, many of whom are from Guatemala, Columbia, Ecuador, and Mexico. It also provides school placements, after school care, and supports families with social services and advocacy.
